The Two Ways
Thank you to the trees, who teach us. 🌳
A tree doesn’t grow tall and strong without making a few accommodations. This is a valuable lesson to us all. As the tree grows, it responds to its surroundings. As roots spread or branches grow, where they meet resistance, they create another shoot that allows them to continue their journey. This is not forsaking its original path; it is how it thrives. Over time, these misadventures and new shoots become lush foliage that fills the forest canopy.
Walking the journey, we get given two ways. It is our choice. They may not look too dissimilar as they head through the same forest. The truth is that there is so much going on in the grove that is unseen, and your choice will result in the way you will experience the space.
Let us not forget, this is a forest, and whilst leaving one path to join another may be daunting, as you anticipate the unknown. “Could I be jumping from the frying pan into the fire?” The reality is that this change is easy.
The two ways are a universal law. Everything exists by this. We can choose to climb over the fallen trees, scrape past bushes, struggle through webs and thick bushes, with steep inclines and frightening downhills, or we could simply take the path where we are supported. The fresh breeze blows to keep us cool, there is a refreshing stream to drink from, berries line the path and nourish us along the way, while the path gently rises and falls as we are supported on the journey.
You may encounter others on your journey who may have selected the same path but, for whatever reason, now block the way. You could wait patiently, at peace, kindly, and politely, allowing them time to make their decisions. You could even get frustrated and annoyed if you choose, but neither of these allows you to continue on your journey.
This is where we look to the same universal law and remember that there are two ways. Even for the shortest period of time, we can choose to join the path that allows us to move, so that we may continue along our path of divine beauty, joy, love, grace, and ease.
Amen

A beautiful description of universal laws constantly in rhythm.
